5th, 3rd, and Kindergarten school pictures!

Duluth and Splitrock Lighthouse

We enjoyed our first visit to Split Rock Lighthouse with Grandma Brigid and Grandpa Ed. We drove up Saturday morning to Two Harbors and enjoyed stops along the way - Gordy’s Hi Hat for lunch and Tobie’s for coffee and donuts and cinnamon rolls. At the lighthouse we enjoyed the tour and museum and walking down the path to throw rocks in Lake Superior. Great views of the lighthouse from there too.

On our drive into town we saw some exciting wildlife - a black bear crossing the street! We drove all around out West and didn’t see one that close! We enjoyed games at Castle Danger brewery.

The next morning we enjoyed shopping around canal park, seeing a big ship come through the lift bridge, and the museum. We then went to Oktoberfest that was in Duluth and the kids enjoyed a stein holding contest, bouncy house, crafts, and a dachsund race.

Summer and Fall sports

I started to play golf and enjoyed time playing with Shelby, Jon, Jan, Maeve, Cecilia and Kyle.

I also enjoyed coaching Cecilia’s softball team again and Maeve played 10U and we enjoyed seeing her games. Both girls enjoyed it a lot. We got to enjoy a Twins game, too, and walk on the field and be recognized for youth sports.

Maeve played volleyball in the summer with Vital and the fall with OLG and continues to enjoy it. She also played flag football and that was a new sport for us all to enjoy and learn. Grandpa Ed enjoyed being the line judge.

Kyle tried t-ball and had a good time. He wants to get outs and strikes that they didn’t play this year so he’s looking forward to that next year.

Cecilia had another great soccer season. The Loons game was inspiring at the end of the season and Cecilia scored 2 goals in each of the final games.
