Halloween 2018

We had a fun time carving pumpkins this year for Halloween. Maeve was interested in it for a little longer than Cecilia. They lasted about 20 minutes or so even though pumpkin carving took 2 hours! We used the kits and they both picked out a design. Maeve picked out the cat and Cecilia picked out the owl. We think they came out pretty good!

For costumes, they dressed up as Vampirina and Evie from Descendents II the movie over the weekend when we were carving pumpkins. We bought these costumes to wear to Disney World and Cecilia wanted to wear her costume everyday after we got home!

On Halloween, they wore Black and Orange to school and then Maeve changed to Tinkerbell for Trick-or-Treating. Cecilia was excited to wear Vampirina again. We went with our neighbor girls, Lucy, Julia and Isabel. They had a great time. We even drove over to surprise Grandma Jan and Grandpa Steve since Grandma is in bed recovering from foot surgery.

Fall Fun

We've had a lot of fun activities this Fall including the Apple Orchard and Feeding the Kangaroos at the Minnesota Zoo. We donated to the Minnesota Zoo so were able to have a private tour behind-the-scenes with the Kangaroos and Wallabys. They were headed back to Texas the next day and won't be back at the Minnesota Zoo next year so it was fun to see them. Cecilia wasn't sure what to think, but Maeve loved feeding them carrots and grains. We also saw a joey in the mom's pouch so that was really fun.

We also went to 2 apple orchards. We really liked the Minnesota Harvest orchard in Jordan, MN. The girls rode on the tractor, Maeve rode a pony, and we ate lunch and got apple cider. It wasn't too busy and was a nice warm day. Even though the bees swarmed the apples, they didn't seem to bother them too much. The 2nd orchard we went to was Apple Jack Orchards when Eric was at the cabin closing it up for the winter. The girls had a blast on the pillow jumper and playing in the corn pit. Maeve also had to ride the pony again as it is her favorite thing. We also ate lunch there and got their face painted. It was much busier as it was a nice fall day but we spent a few hours there and the girls both slept the entire way home.

Maternity Fall pictures

We headed out to the Arboretum to take in the Fall leaves and capture some Maternity pictures. The girls are very excited for the new baby. It was a little chilly that morning so we took a few pictures and then ran inside to warm up before taking a few more! The colors weren't quite at peak season but that was good because the Arboretum wasn't very busy.
