We've been busy this weekend! On Saturday morning we went to go visit the MN Zoo with Grandma Jan right when it opened because it was such a beautiful spring day!! We were specifically headed to see the farm babies exhibit. Maeve was a bit scared to get close to the animals, but we still had a great time overall. Lately she seems a bit more shy than in the past. When we left the zoo we heard one of the workers mention that there were over 5,000 visitors there that morning, so good thing we went right when it opened!
On Saturday afternoon while Maeve was napping (finally - she didn't want to go down initially!) Dad finished putting together the Burley for our initial bike ride. You can see Maeve showing off her brand new bike helmet in the photos. She did pretty well overall with the helmet. It helped that she noticed both Mom and Dad had their helmets on the whole bike ride. We went for 6 miles just to see how everyone's bikes felt and for Maeve to get a taste of the Burley. Looking forward to many more bike rides in HHI next month!
On Sunday, we surprised Grandpa Steve for his 60th birthday. We had brunch at a restaurant out on Lake Minnetonka. We were hoping for some nice weather to be able to enjoy the lake, but instead we were stuck inside. You will see Grandpa got a great picture with Maeve!
It was nice to have a good weekend of fun activities after our ER visit last weekend for Maeve's 105 degree temp! What a scare that was, only to be told it was just viral! Lets hope she is healthy for a good stretch now!

Happy Birthday Finnegan
Happy Birthday to our nephew, Finnegan! We had such a great time celebrating this past weekend. We enjoyed time at the Discovery center playing in the grocery store, with the lights and blocks, and playing outside. Maeve enjoyed helping Finn open his presents. Finn enjoyed smiling for the camera ALL THE TIME! He is such a ham and makes it easy to take pictures of him. Finn did not enjoy Maeve's screeching and even screamed one time when she screeched in his ear. She just got so excited to see their dog, Sadie! She loves dogs. Maeve showed off this past weekend by saying words like 'paper,' 'dog,' and 'all done.' Finn loved eating his whole birthday cupcake. We tried to give some to Maeve and she gagged from the icing. I guess she does have a little bit of her mom in her :) More of a salty tooth then a sweet tooth. She'll thank me later!
I also wanted to throw out a #tbt or #throwbackthursday to last year at this time when we went to Boise to meet Finnegan and now to see the picture we took this past weekend. Incredible how much they grow up!

Happy Easter
Maeve and Finn enjoyed their first Easter egg hunt in Boise this past weekend. Maeve enjoyed picking up the eggs, trying to open them, and putting them in the basket. She also loved carrying around the Easter basket that Aunt Anne got for her. Finn preferred to put leaves in the basket, but did not enjoy when the 100+ 0-2 year olds started running towards the eggs. Uncle Eric enjoyed eating the taffy that was in all of the eggs. Maeve and Finn also had fun with the new toys that the Easter Bunny brought them. Thanks Aunt Anne!

We had a great time with part of the Edmonds family in Boise. Grandpa and Grandma Edmonds enjoyed spending time with two of their grandchildren. Uncle Sean and Aunt Anne were great hosts. We had delicious food, including Crawfish Monica for Good Friday, and the kids enjoyed all of the activities.
We spent part of the weekend celebrating Finn's birthday. Pictures to be posted at a later date so stay tuned....
